It’s our core values that make us what we are at Learning Curve Day Nursery. We promote independence and encourage our children to be curious so they’re not just ready for school, but life beyond Nursery too! But how to we do that?
At Learning Curve Day Nursery, we’re passionate about active learning and encouraging every child to choose their learning journey. We work with our parents to uncover their child’s strengths and create enrichment opportunities based around them and their interests to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Each child’s key milestones and achievements are recorded in their Individualised Learning Plan, so parents never miss a beat of their child’s learning journey.
Our nurturing Nursery environment has a home-from-home atmosphere where our children are encouraged to be caring and considerate to others around them. We help them establish friendships by learning through play and make emotional connections through sharing new ideas with their Nursery family.
As our children progress through the Nursery from Bees to Badgers, we give them small responsibilities, such as serving lunch and collecting vegetables from the Nursery Garden. This teaches them the value of team work and develops an emotional understanding of the children around them.
The great outdoors is as important to us as any teacher, with our extensive grounds providing enriching opportunities for every child to try new things, be physically active and learn valuable life skills. Bringing the outdoors in through open-ended resources extends their understanding of the natural world while enriching their play. Having the chance to grow their own produce in our Nursery garden and seeing first-hand where their food comes from, inspires our children to make the world a better place and understand the importance of sustainability.
